A honeymoon - Loki/Gwen

Gwen simply nodded her head and laid back to the bed. She wasn’t feeling that well and she didn’t know why. Wasn’t being turned into a vampire supposed to make you feel better, faster and all of that hype? She had to remember to ask Loki why she felt this way. So many thoughts were racing in her mind. Now that the adrenaline had worn off, she could really think about what she had done and the guilt came back double. She had really managed to mess up everything that they had, if there was anything there. She had made Loki feel like it was all his fault when it wasn’t. It was all her fault and she felt like such a fucking idiot now. They truly could not go back to how it was before and tears spilled out of her eyes and down her cheeks when she thought about it. She might as well be dead in the sense of the word. She groaned as she turned on her side to face the wall, continuing to cry over the major fuck up she had done.

Once Loki had collected himself he continued down the hall with the intention to collect a blood bag or two for her to cease her starvation, he had to set his emotions aside for now if he was going to teach her how to feed and survive as a vampire. He had turned two others within the year but only felt guilty concerning one of them. He had saved him from death, it was necessary. But the other was for fun, and he still fails to see it any differently. It wasn’t long till the God returned with two heated blood bags, he found himself with no temptation to bite into them for himself - it seemed the guilt still lay thick upon his mind and clouded any other thoughts from replacing it. With a second of hesitation Loki opened the door to her room and stepped inside, but paused to study was seemed to be her sleeping form. “Gwen?” he called quietly, not wishing to wake her if she had returned to her slumber.

She contemplated laying where she was, not wanting to answer to his soft question of her name. As much as she tried to hide it, she knew she couldn’t from him. Reluctantly, she turned to her back, starting up at the ceiling. She made no move to wipe away her tears, letting them stain her cheeks. “Yes?” She asked just as quietly, refusing to meet Loki’s eyes. She was so ashamed of herself. All of her previous actions came back to her. How could she have been so selfish? Loki really didn’t deserve all this. To have to deal with her and this situation. To have the burden of teaching her how to be a vampire. Truthfully, he should just leave her to rot somewhere and be done with her. That’s what she would do with herself.

She felt such a sense of relief when she saw Loki beside her but her heart dropped seeing the guilty look upon his face. “I’m sorry.” She managed to sputter out from her dry throat. She had managed to put a heavy burden on him and she was sure he felt it was his place to take care of her. This was not what she had intended by this. She was hoping to bring them closer but that had back fired. “Thirsty.” She whispered, her throat so very dry. She knew she must look a sight. Blood splattered all over her, hair matted against her head. And she probably ruined the sheets she was laying on. She didn’t dare say anymore. She had caused enough trouble as it was. Where they went from here, she didn’t know.

Why was he finding this difficult? Loki had always cared very little about those around him, he’d turned a young woman many, many years ago and felt nothing regarding it. He didn’t feel guilt, or regret, but instead felt an overabundance of joy at the sight he had left her in. It amused him to know she could carry the burden alone and without the aid of anyone else, he didn’t even know if she was still alive - or even cared. But this was hard, he knew his heart should be hardened, dulled from emotion and the chance of attachment. Perhaps it was what he should learn to do once more, to protect them both from further turmoil. With a single nod Loki stood from the bed again and neared the door, “I shall collect a blood bag for you.” he spoke simply, voice devoid of any recognisable emotion. Loki was hurting, not only because of this but due to other reasons Gwen did not know about. He did not believe he could tell her without bringing her further pain, and hadn’t he given her enough already? With a small huff the God left the room, pausing momentarily to collect his emotions - they had to go, he couldn’t cope with them driving his mind any longer.

She slept like the dead, which is what she was. At first she didn’t have any dreams but then they came. Over and over again, it played in her head. How she jumped from that ledge, how she was waiting for the moment her body would slam on the ground. It did but not how she imagined. Then the guilt flooded her from seeing Loki laying on the ground, a puddle of blood around him. She cried out, screaming his name. She couldn’t seem to lift herself from this nightmare. She tossed around on the bed. She wasn’t even aware if Loki was still there or if he had left her alone.   Finally she was able to come up from the darkness. Gradually she awoke, cracking her eyes open and blinking in the dim light. She tried to speak but wasn’t able to. Her throat was so very dry. Her muscles wouldn’t cooperate as she wanted to sit and she gave up, laying back to the bed.

Loki has left the room twenty minutes after he had set her down to rest, she would likely be out for long hours, or even a full day if she had wasted what little energy she had as he expected. He had attended to things here and there, taking Lily to the library as she wanted, he had very few things to do in between and his mood brought on by their little fight hours before had made him turn away from all things he generally enjoyed doing. Few came to see him, but each one he turned away with the thought of Gwen and her change still lingering heavy on his mind. Hours passed and he returned to the room, his pace slow with his feet almost dragging along the floor in guilt. He paused upon hearing far off shouts and calls of his name, he knew who they belonged to. Without delay the God rushed down the corridor towards her room and burst through the door in a fit of panic. It seemed that by the time he had arrived her screams had died down, merely just a dream she had been suffering prior to his arrival. Setting the door closed behind him he stepped towards her laying form, watching as she slowly woke from her unpleasant slumber. “Do not try to speak. It will take a while before you can move and speak as you once did, your body is adjusting to the change.” he spoke, though his mumbled words clearly indicated his distaste to what he had done to her - but he couldn’t just let her die. He seated himself down beside her upon the bed and surveyed her condition, she seemed well considering her change and the stress put upon her soon after, but it still didn’t lighten the load from his mind.

She felt such a sense of relief when she saw Loki beside her but her heart dropped seeing the guilty look upon his face. “I’m sorry.” She managed to sputter out from her dry throat. Paying no heed to the mortal now laying unconscious on the ground, Gwen molded herself against Loki. She looked up to him, her blood stained lips pulled into a grin. ” But I’m not tired! I feel as if I could run laps around the world!” She might have felt this now but she didn’t know that she would be crashing soon. “Come. Let us go on a hunt. It shall be fun!” She pulled him down, intending to kiss him, so that they could both taste the mortal on the others lips. Gwen should have listened to him. Her body began to shut down for rest, and nothing she could do would stop it. Her body became a dead weight in Loki’s arms, her eyes fluttering shut.

Loki gave her a sympathetic smile as she spoke, though it seemed her words suggested energy she clearly did not have her tone sounded broken and tired. He held her close to his body as she weakened and became a heavy weight in his arms, all energy diminishing - as to be expected. Lifting her in his arms he supported her body and glanced to the body close to death upon the floor. The commotion had caught some attention, and those who had arrived were tending to the woman who would likely die of blood loss. Shrugging it off Loki turned down the hall to find a spare room, and it didn’t take him long to find one suitable - one that was close enough to his own chambers but far enough away from any mortals she may prey upon if a lack of control occurred. Entering the room Loki set her down on the bed beside the wall, bringing the room into light with a flick of his hand.

She slept like the dead, which is what she was. At first she didn’t have any dreams but then they came. Over and over again, it played in her head. Gwen closed her eyes as she drank the blood, it’s sweet coppery taste flooding her mouth. She craved it so much. Needed it greatly. The gentle touch to her neck from Loki drew her attention from the dying mortal. She drew back and looked at him. There was a look in his eyes of both satisfaction and of guilt. This would be a wall between them for many, many years it would seem. She desperately longed for the earlier times. Before all this happened. Before she let her heart come between them. The red liquid dripped from her chin, staining the front of her shirt. Not that she cared. Her clothing was already ruined. Never taking her eyes from Loki, she pushed the mortal away from them, the dull thud of her body hitting the ground didn’t even bring a blink to her eyes. Taking a step forward, she took hold to his lapels, pulling him forward. “Doesn’t it taste so lovely?”

Glad to see her distracted Loki let her throw the mortal to the side, who was now unconscious but not quite dead. Now her blood had ceased being drained from her neck there was a chance she could recover, a slim chance. He stepped forward to keep his balance as she pulled at his clothing and forced a smile to his bloodied lips, while he was still on a blood high - the tang of the mortal’s blood most divine, especially when being shared - he still felt somewhat uncomfortable. “It tastes wonderful, darling.” he replied, snaking his hand around her waist to rest at her lower back. “You must rest, you will be exhausted if you continue.”

Paying no heed to the mortal now laying unconscious on the ground, Gwen molded herself against Loki. She looked up to him, her blood stained lips pulled into a grin. ” But I’m not tired! It amused her how Loki back away from her. She knew the blood was calling to him just as it was calling to her. The sight of the exposed  neck, along with the blood gushing out, it proved too much for Loki it seemed. She grinned as he did partake of the sweet nectar coming from the mortal. She didn’t even get mad when he broke away from the kiss to drink from the girl. She bit down on the other side of her neck, greedily drinking the blood that came out. Gods this was wonderful. This was how you drank blood. Not from some blood bag but from the body of a warm human, struggling to get away from you, their fear heightening the blood in their body. She could tell the girl was becoming weak, as she was near the end of her life. Gwen wondered if Loki and she would end of taking her life or if Loki would be able to stop and in turn, stop Gwen.

As Loki continued to feed from the mortal girl he lost almost all sense of rational thought, his mind had been clouded with his need to taste blood, although his anger and desperation had played a part in intensifying it. He felt the mortal grow weak in his arms, which seemed to snap the God out of his blood lust fueled daze. Pulling his fangs from his neck he attempted to catch Gwens attention, moving his hand to the nape of her neck to suggest he wished to kiss her. The mortal would die soon, and he could not let her be the cause of a death. Now she had changed, because of both their idiotic actions, he intended to teach her not to kill. Not because he was against the murder of innocent mortals, that he took part in quite frequently, but if she took a life she would not be the sweet woman that he had grown close to. In the depths of her heart she would regret it and perhaps never forgive herself. He had to stop her before she went any further.

Loki expected her behaviour to be odd, to change at the most unexpected of times. Her recent change would indeed bring about such things, but this… this was indeed strange. He stumbled backwards as she pushed him after screaming out her apparent intense anger towards him, but soon found himself being pulled back towards her. His hands lingered as his side as she pushed her lips to his own, the action completely taking the God by surprise. The mortals blood calmed him, enticed and lured him into wanting more. A low growl vibrated through his throat as he hungrily lapped at his lip, but the look upon her face upon pulling back caused his attention to snap back to the matter in hand. “What are you doing?”

Gwen knew she had taken Loki off guard and that was her intention. With a gleam in her eyes, she spun around, grabbing at the mortal who was now cowering against the wall, her hand to her neck. The mortal’s frightened eyes excited her and her lips were pulled into a crooked smile as she took hold of the mortal and pulled her up. Dragging her back, Gwen pushed the mortal at Loki, pushing her back to his chest. Gwen then covered her front, trapping her between them. “Do you smell that blood, Loki? Doesn’t it smell divine?” Yanking at the girl’s hair, she exposed her bloody neck to them, the red blood oozing from the wound. Gwen licked at the wound, her lips coated with the fluid. Reaching up, Gwen presses her lips to Loki’s, kissing him once again, making sure the blood has gone into his mouth. She wanted to share this mortal with him, to essentially bathe in her blood with him.

Loki backed away as Gwen pushed the mortal between them, the fresh blood throbbing still from her wound filling his nostrils to lure him further into giving into his blood lust. “Stop it.” he mumbled, trying to divert his attention by looking down the hall, but the mortal’s blood was far too divine, he needed to taste it. Just a drop. It wouldn’t hurt, surely. His eyes widened as she exposed her neck, forcing the blood to spill more from her wounds. Loki watched as Gwen lapped at the mortals blood, it was a most glorious sight. He hummed as she caught his lips, the taste of hot blood mixing in his mouth as he eagerly returned the kiss. His fingers curled around the mortal’s hips as he urged her body against him, he broke away from Gwen’s lips to lap at the blood upon the trembling mortal’s neck, hungrily swallowing with every mouthful.

It amused her how Loki back away from her. She knew the blood was calling to him just as it was calling to her. Mm it seems so, pity I don’t plan on going through with any of them.

“That is very true and typical of you. String them along only to dump them when they least expect it.” This statement is said with a hint of malevolence.

As her fangs sank into the delicate skin of the mortals neck, she groaned as the sweet blood poured out into her mouth. She sucked on it greedily, taking whole mouth fulls before swallowing it. She was only half aware of when Loki found her, jerking at her arm to pull her away. She growled, angry that she was being taken away from the warm, sweet blood. She jerked at her arm, trying to free it but he was too strong and soon she was spun around to face him, the dark blood dripping from her chin. “How dare you!” She screamed, jumping forward to attack him. Hands gripping to his shoulders, she first pushed him away before pulling him closer. Not sure of what or why she did this but a sudden thought came to her and she laid her lips to his, smearing the blood across his mouth and over his cheek before she leaned back, a smirk painting her face.
